Aliyun, a Chinese operating system based on Google's Android, distributes pirated Android apps. According to The Android Police, several Android developers confirmed that their apps are available in the Aliyun app store without their consent.  Also, Aliyuns app store contains multiple Google apps, while Google never gave permission for this.

Aliyun is a Linux-based operating system for mobile phones, developed by Chinese internet company Alibaba. Aliyun is technically similar to Android. According to Andy Rubin, Aliyun uses the Android runtime, framework and tools. However, Aliyun is not compatible with the official version of Android and is not a member of the Open Handset Alliance, a group of technology and mobile companies that jointly developed Android. Therefore, Aliyun is not allowed to affiliate closely with Android and Android based apps.

The conflict between Aliyun and Google caused mobile telephone producer Acer to cancel the Chinese release of its A800 CloudMobile smartphone, which would run on Aliyun in China. In Europe, the A800 CloudMobile will run on Android.
