Chinese online video companies Tudou Holdings and Youku.com said they will sue each other for alleged copyright infringements of their videos, according to Reuters.com.

This week, Tudou said it would take legal action against the online video site Youku, for allegedly reposting episodes of a popular program called "Kangxi is Coming," on Youku's platform, without consent of the copyright holder.

Cti TV is the copyright holder of this program and signed an exclusive agreement with Tudou this year to distribute the episodes of the program on its platform. Now, Tudou and Cti TV allege that these episodes were copied without consent and uploaded onto Youku's platform.

Subsequently, Youku countered it would take legal action against Tudou, accusing Tudou of using more than 60 television series from Youku without Youku’s consent.

The two parties have already tried legal mediation, yet in vain. Let’s see what the outcome will be of the legal proceedings.
