Last September, Deezer started its music streaming service in England and now the service will also be launched in Belgium. This is the the music streaming service's first step in the expansion to 130 countries, including the Benelux.

The French music streaming service offers two different subscriptions. For five euros per month, consumers can listen to all songs from the database, without being bothered with advertisements or a time limit.  Furthermore, it is also possible to subscribe to a Premium subscription. Premium users have access to Deezer anytime and anywhere (with mobile phone, tablet, computer) for just ten euros per month. The Premium subscription also offers music offline.

Additionally, Deezer offers a Discover Mode, which allows users to listen to songs for thirty seconds for free, the so-called ‘sampling’. Deezer also offers a free try out for fifteen days. By offering these free options, Deezer seeks to promote the service in Belgium.

Besides the music streaming service, Deezer is now also opening an office in Brussels. The idea behind this is that there will be closer cooperation with the Belgian music industry so local material can be added to the Deezer database, which now consists of 13 million songs.

It is unclear on what date Deezer will be launched in Belgium.
