Music leads the way on the bike through revolutionary app

Students of the University of Technology in Eindhoven have created an application that gives directions while listening to music on your bicycle.

In the Netherlands, everybody navigates through busy city streets on their bike. Often people listen to their favorite music through their headphones while their on their bike. With the new app, people will still be listening, but the difference will be that the app uses the navigation function of smart phones to guide the user to his destination. For example, if you need to turn right then the music is louder in your right ear. Therefore, it looks like the music is coming from the direction in which you must ride. Goal of the app is that the cyclist can focus his eyes on the road this way, rather than looking at his smart phone while participating in city traffic.

By the end of next week it is possible to download the app for smart phones with the Android operating system and the app can be used all over the world.
