First websites request 'Hadopi legal offer' logo

French anti-piracy authority Hadopi received the first 15 applications from online service providers who want to use the Hadopi legality certificate. This logo is only available to services that offer legal content.

The first three ISPs whose requests are published are VOD platform Videoavolonte, music streaming site Deezer and music download site Beezik. The procedure provides that rightsholders have four weeks to assess the legality of the catalogues offered by these parties and to object to granting of the logo by Hadopi. Content owners have to assess the legality of these content services by evaluating the provided overview of their catalogue.
