Brein, the Dutch advocate of the entertainment industry, together with the Motion Picture Association (MPA) has taken down 29 websites last wednesday. According to Brein these sites were oriented on Dutch consumers and provide links to infringing movies, TV shows, music, games and e-books.

Brein's action shows strong similarities with a previous action that the U.S. Department of Safety performed with the National Coordinating Centre for Intellectual Property (IPR). Two weeks ago they jointly closed down 80 BitTorrent sites. Brein claims to have received help from foreign colleagues.
