The Who to star in their own music game

While the music industry is facing much trouble with declining CD sales and online business models that struggle to get ahead, there is one particular market that is booming for music: video games.

Guitar Hero and Rockbank are two very popular franchises where the former featured artists like Metallica and Van Halen and the latter created a special around The Beatles that was launched recently.

Now, The Who are going to be added to the list. Lead singer Roger Daltrey leaked in an interview with The Repblican that next year, The Who will be starring in their own game.  It is unclear yet in which franchise they will appear in. Rockband seems likely, as they performed at the Rockband party at game industry conference E3 in 2008.
