Microsoft bans players with illegal copies from Xbox Live – permanently
Just prior to the release of Borderlands and Forza Motorsport 3 on its Xbox 360 console, Microsoft has indicated to pursue a hardliner approach when illegitimate copies are active on Live before the launching date. Those that get caught get permanently banned from Xbox Live.
However, if a legal copy has been obtained before the launch date, players need not fret.
"Don't worry folks, anyone who bought a copy early is OK," posted Stephen Toulouse, Microsoft's law enforcer,on Twitter "In general, if you got a receipt, play away. These are [illegitimate] copies we're hitting."
