MovieX.info soap continues…

Last year MovieX, a big Australian bittorrent tracker, was taken down by the Australian police. Two of its administrators were arrested and their bank accounts were seized. Though the site quickly resurfaced, many of its 400,000 users, and more importantly most of its uploaders, dissapeared.

To add insult to injury, it now seems that one of the site administrators (VIPxXx) has ripped of MovieX and its users. VIPxXx, who was responsible for receiving ‘donations’ from users that kept the MovieX servers running, has issued a creditcard chargeback oor the server fees over the past months. This means that VIPxXx has stolen the money of the users and left MovieX without a host.

It is unlikely that the users of MovieX will turn to the authorities to get their money back, knowing they were paying for an illegal service. As an act of revenge the remaining MovieX administrators have published personal data on VIPxXx and his girlfriend on their homepage.
