German consumers have spent 25 percent more on digital downloads in 2008 according to a Bitkom study. The total turnover will likely reach 220 million euros by the end of 2008. The average price per download is about 4 euros

People in the ages 20 to 40 are responsible for half the downloads. Interesting fact is that people over 40 are downloading more as well. Men are still the most active downloaders, they account for over 64% of all the downloads.
